After reading A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson last winter, I was eager to dive into the upcoming sequels. When I got my hands on Good Girl, Bad Blood, I was immediately hooked. Although I was a bit disappointed that there wasn’t much follow-up on the cases of Sal Singh and Andie Bell, I was still excited to see what Pip and Ravi would tackle next. I have yet to read her final book in the series As Good As Dead and hope to read it soon.
By this point, Pip has gained more experience and really understands the gravity of solving serious cases. When her close friend Connor’s older brother, Jamie, a 24-year-old, goes missing, Pip is determined to find out what happened. However, she knows it won’t come without a high cost—especially considering all that happened when she worked on the Andie Bell case. With the launch of her new podcast, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, Pip is more confident than ever in her abilities to crack this mystery.
As the police neglect Jamie’s missing person case, Pip takes it upon herself to uncover the truth, determined to help Connor and his family while also revealing some deep, dark secrets. Pip may have once been considered a “good girl,” but now there’s some bad blood running through her veins. The cost may be high, but in the end, it will all be worth it.
If you enjoyed A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder or are a fan of young adult books with crime, investigations, and a whole lot of plot twists, this series is perfect for you. Happy reading!
